This blog is mostly going to be my little place to talk about the novel I am writing. Which is why I stole a quote from one of my favorite tv shows, as this novel I am writing, I plan to finish, and at times.. it feels like an impossible thing. Also this is to journal my move to the UK, and starting my own business as an Indie Yarn Dyer

Name that Yarn!

The first of my Alice themed yarns is making it’s debut, but it’s nameless!

There were supposed to be two yarns making it’s debut from this series, but the yarn was having none of that and decided to be something entirely different.  I’ll post that one up soon.

This yarn though is an embodiment of the burlesque dancers at the Happy Hearts casino, dancing to keep the Oysters happy.

Here it is… I give you the nameless yarn.

Entertaing the Oysters ?

Dancing for the Oysters ?

Happy Hearts Casino ?

“Name that Yarn”

(sorry for all the updates, I was having issues with the poll)

  1. I will not share a name choice, as I am your mother and you “never” listen to me, LOL. I like Entertaining the Oysters, tho…

I personally prefer Happy Hearts Casino. The oyster names just don’t seem to fit the yarn. But if you wanted to go with something oyster related, then maybe Oyster Showgirls or Showgirls for the Oyster’s? Yeah lame but the best I can do. lol

    • I think I want to stay away from “Showgirls” just because of other avenues that would take it. But thanks. 🙂

hi, love your yarn, saw it on your mums fb post… I would call it oyster catcher as these wee birds are adorable and have just that colour orange long beaks and bright red legs.. they are such lovely birds and they are often here on the west coast of scotland in front of a wonderful heather backdrop which looks like the wonderful purpley shades of your yarn…. it is so beautiful… well done you.

p.s. know you mum through ravelry and the outlander books

all the best in naming your yarn
sandy (tandemsandy on ravelry) (nemetona Beauchamp in the outlander games)

    • Thanks for coming out and checking out the blog. 🙂

Hmmm Oyster Catcher… neat… I’ll have to ponder on it.

Speaking of Outlander, I should hopefully have some more yarns for Outlander in the near future.

Out of the three possibilities, I like Happy Hearts Casino best. But I’d probably call it something like “Off With Their Heads.”

    • It really doesn’t have enough to do with the Queen of Hearts for me to call it “Off with their heads” or anything like that. I actually had Queen of Hearts yarn in the dye pot, but sadly it decided to be something else.

But thank you for your vote on Happy Hearts Casino. 🙂
